# Installation

This page guides you on how to install the plugin.

## Single-server (Spigot / Paper etc.)

The installation process is pretty straightforward, and doesen't requeie any extra steps, just install it like every other plugin.

1. [Download ](https://github.com/xxneox/EpicGuard/releases/latest)the latest version of the plugin.
2. Put it in your /plugins directory and **restart** the server.
3. Read the logs to see if there are any errors.

## Network - Proxy server (BungeeCord / Velocity)

The installation process on proxy servers is the same as on spigot.

When using a proxy, install the plugin only on the proxy server, and not on your backend servers

## After installation

You can find the configuration file in **/plugins/EpicGuard/settings.conf**, and configure the plugin's messages in **/plugins/EpicGuard/messages.conf**

To reload changes made in configuration/messages, run EpicGuard's reload command.
